`p-equivalence of Discretizations of Analog Controllers ?

چکیده
This paper first introduces the fractional-order hold transformation that, together with the generalized bilinear transformation recently proposed in Zhang et al. [2007], contains all commonly used discretization methods as special cases. In light of this, it further shows that at fast sampling, all the digital approximations of an analog controller are equivalent in the sense of `p induced norm for p ∈ [1,∞] when the analog controller is stable or in the sense of some gap metric even when it is unstable.

Partial Observation in Distributed Supervisory Control of Discrete-Event Systems
Distributed supervisory control is a method to synthesize local controllers in discrete-eventsystems with a systematic observation of the plant. Some works were reported on extending this methodby which local controllers are constructed so that observation properties are preserved from monolithic todistributed supervisory control, in an up-down approach. In this paper, we find circumstances in ...
متن کاملM-estimators as GMM for Stable Laws Discretizations
This paper is devoted to "Some Discrete Distributions Generated by Standard Stable Densities" (in short, Discrete Stable Densities). The large-sample properties of M-estimators as obtained by the "Generalized Method of Moments" (GMM) are discussed for such distributions. Some corollaries are proposed. Moreover, using the respective results we demonstrate the large-sample pro...
متن کاملPreconditioners for nonconforming discretizations
We prove an abstract norm equivalence for a two-level method, which allows us to reduce the construction of preconditioners for nonconforming finite element discretizations to known cases of conforming elements.
متن کاملA General Equivalence Theorem in the Theory of Discretization Methods
The Lax-Richtmyer theorem is extended to work in the framework of Stetter's theory of discretizations. The new result applies to both initial and boundary value problems discretized by finite elements, finite differences, etc. Several examples are given, together with a comparison with other available equivalence theorems. The proof relies on a generalized Banach-Steinhaus theorem.
متن کاملA Posteriori Error Analysis of Space-Time Finite Element Discretizations of the Time-Dependent Stokes Equations
We present a novel a posteriori error analysis of spacetime finite element discretizations of the time-dependent Stokes equations. Our analysis is based on the equivalence of error and residual and a suitable decomposition of the residual into spatial and temporal contributions. In contrast to existing results we directly bound the error of the full space-time discretization and do not resort t...
